Crispy Parmesan Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Crispy Parmesan Roasted Cabbage Steaks are a simple, flavor-packed side dish made with thick slices of cabbage roasted until golden and tender, then topped with savory Parmesan for a perfectly crispy, cheesy finish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium head green cabbage
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice cabbage from top to bottom into 3/4-inch thick steaks, keeping the core intact.
  • Place steaks on the baking sheet. Brush generously with olive oil.
  • Mix spices together and sprinkle evenly over the steaks.
  • Roast for 20 minutes until the bottoms are golden.
  • Remove from oven, top evenly with parmesan cheese.
  • Return to oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and edges are crispy.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
