Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 lb cooked bacon cut into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 12 oz package shredded Cheddar cheese, divided (8 oz for mixing, 4 oz for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brown the Meat: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, minced garlic, and onion powder until the meat is browned and crumbly (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  • Drain Grease: Drain and discard the excess grease completely from the skillet.
  • Layer the Pan: Spread the cooked beef evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole pan. Sprinkle the cooked bacon pieces evenly over the beef.
  • Make the Binder: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Stir in 8 ounces of the shredded Cheddar cheese.
  • Combine and Top: Pour the egg and cream mixture evenly over the beef and bacon in the pan. Sprinkle the remaining 4 ounces of Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese on top is golden brown.
  • Rest and Serve: Allow the casserole to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
