Ooey Gooey Bars
These Ooey Gooey Bars are a rich, buttery dessert with a soft cake-like base and a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth topping. Easy to make with simple ingredients, they’re perfectly sweet, irresistibly gooey, and ideal for any occasion.
- Base Layer:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 egg
- Gooey Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a dough forms.
Press dough evenly into the bottom of the dish.
Beat cream cheese until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
Pour mixture over the base and spread evenly.
Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is lightly golden.
Cool completely before slicing and serving.
