Tasty hamburger “steaks” smothered in gravy and onions. Serve with hot rice or potatoes for an easy-to-make dinner classic. It’s a great way to dress up a pound of ground beef and you probably have all the ingredients on hand!
Ingredients
- 1lb.Lean Beef, Ground
- 1large Egg
- ½ cup Bacon, Chopped
- ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp.Olive Oil
- ½ Onion, Diced
- 1 tsp.Garlic Powder
- 1 cup Flour
- Salt And Pepper To Taste
For The Gravy:
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- ¼ cup Flour
- 1 cup Water
- ½ tbsp.Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Packet Of Brown Gravy Mix
- 2 cups Mushrooms, Sliced
- Salt And Pepper To Taste
How To Make Hamburger Steak Patties
- In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the patties except for the olive oil and flour.
- Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized beef patties.
- Dip the patties into the flour, and cook in the oil in a skillet over medium high heat until browned. Remove the patties from the skillet.
- Add the onions to the skillet and saute until softened.
- Stir in the flour, and then add the broth, worcestershire sauce and gravy mix slowly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the mushrooms, and return the patties to the skillet.
- Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
